ALS TDI Golf Club Challenge
Sponsored by Morgan Stanley Smith Barney
Summary
The ALS TDI Golf Club Challenge is a yearlong competition challenging golf clubs across the country to
raise as much money as possible for ALS research. The club that raises the most funds is presented the
Morgan Stanley Smith Barney Challenge Cup. The Cup is a traveling trophy, donated by Morgan Stanley
Smith Barney, to be displayed at the winning club for the ensuing year. Last year, this program
raised over $37,000 for ALS research, and this year we anticipate the program to double!
How it Works
The ALS TDI Golf Club Challenge is a unique way for country clubs to get involved with finding an
effective treatment for ALS without incurring a lot of expenses or disrupting everyday play at a
club. Funds can be raised in any fashion and can be accumulated over a 12 month period.
Here are some ideas:
- have a closest-to-the-pin contest
- hold a "Donate your Score" day
- hold a tournament
- incorporate raffles, silent auctions, or sponsorships
